Social Outreach at St. James' Hospital Foundation

Social Outreach at St. James' Hospital Foundation

The St. James’ Hospital Foundation is one of the three charities we are working with for the upcoming Green Jersey Day. Below is an insight from one of our TY students about the charity written after he spent a week of Social Outreach with them.

“St. James’ Hospital Foundation is a charity established for St. James’ Hospital. The main purpose of the Foundation is to facilitate and attract private investment to support the work of the Hospital. Donations to the Foundation are used to enhance facilities, support, innovation and research, provide education and training for hospital employees and elevate the standard of care for all patients. They have one mission and it is to help and provide for everyone in the hospital and improve the patient experience, from little things like the small library setup up in the hospital’s atrium to buying equipment for different departments areas in the hospital which are in need of an upgrade or being purchased and don’t already exist. This financial support is very costly and essential to ensure the hospital offers the best patient care available, especially in uncertain times such as we now live, and where previous forms of financial support no longer exist”
